Acoustics is one of seven essential requirements for buildings set by the Building Law. The aim of building acoustics is to ensure favourable acoustic environment in a building and built environment in general. Building acoustics is divided in:
- premises acoustics – deals with optimal audibility in spectator halls and open-air events
- sound insulation and noise reduction from engineering equipment – deals with ensuring the permitted noise level in premises
- built environment acoustics – deals with ensuring the permitted noise level in urban and rural built environment
To ensure acoustic comfort in a building and its compliance with building regulations, we provide measurements of structural sound insulation, room acoustic parameters, impact sound and facade insulation, as well as recommendations for noise reduction, acoustic comfort enhancement and improvement thereof depending on the type of building use.
We offer:
- site inspections and measurements
- measurement of air-born sound insulation index, noise level and impact sound
- development of sound insulation improvement plan and recommendations
- assessment of structures in compliance with building regulations
- recommendations for engineering equipment noise reduction and sound insulation improvement
- recommendations for improvement of acoustics in public buildings
