According to the Ministry of Economics, on November 9, 2017, representatives of construction sector non-governmental and professional organizations elected a new Construction Council of Latvia.
Artis Dzirkalis, a Member of the board of the Union of the Latvian Civil Engineers and the manager of CMB Ltd., has been elected the Chairman of the Council. Gints Mikelsons, the Chairman of the Board of the Latvian Sustainable Building Council, has been elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Council.
Representatives from the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Latvian Road Builders, the Latvian Geotechnical Union, the Association of Latvian Electricians and Energy Builders, the Latvian Construction Contractors Partnership, the Latvian Constructors’ Association, the Association of Building Materials Producers, the Latvian Association of Heat, Gas and Water Technology Engineers, the Association of Latvian Building Inspectors and of Construction Supervisors, Latvian Association of Architects, Latvian Building Designers Association, Latvian Engineering Consultants Association, Latvian Chamber of Crafts and Latvian Restoration Association have been elected in the council.
